What if Jesus had had a Twitter account?

Would Jesus have been able to convey the new truth if he had had Twitter in his time?

He definately lived and active life, especially during his public mission years. In that 2 years and 8 months he gave a lot of spiritual guidances and speeches. Some were later collected and scribed (you know, the big black book, being number 1 bestseller of all time).

Yet, his message was received with confusions. How often he got the same questions since people either heard the new way of life first or had nothing to relate it to, so they started to doubt.

  • What if he had a Twitter account, saying a very brief message as a reminder of the actual topic?
  • Would it have made it easier for him to clarify the misunderstood and misinterpreted issues for the scholars and that time decision-makers?

Thinking of it: it’s happening these days, even on Twitter.

Short reminders outtaken from his core teachings are posted all the time.

In Jesus’ time the simple people, the poors and the poorers, the broken ones and the mistreated got his ideas very quickly and in a way started to implement right there on the spot. These were the lads and gals, families, who were ready to connect something truly magical which resonated with them and gave valid answers for their struggles in and out.

On the other hand, even the legends say stories when the richer and socially more established ones ridiculed him and his folks, doubted the teachings not even giving a slight chance to think whether it was true or not.

We all know how it ended…

Jesus can’t directly own a Twitter account these days either.

The ones living behind the rainbow still understand and feel his message and continuously give new chances for themselves and each other to try better and evolve.

Yet, those with more time, less struggles, those with more money and less challenges, those with more established opportunities and less everyday issues are constantly neglecting him and his teachings, fighting against either on Twitter or live. And they are louder.

Just as in Jesus’ days, the minority of haters and neglecters, the ones who easily take advantage on the masses, those who abuse the love of the eternal and unconditional love of God, our Heavenly Parent, are louder, more present, more active with their naysayings.

Up until the majority is busy to live up to the standard of a true and unconditional heart in action there won’t be a way to win the doubters’ heart and understanding.

Just as it was an impossible conversation 2000 years ago it is still today.

On the bright side, one thing worked that time and still works even today.

The very idea what Jesus applied in his life: Love is an action.

Instead of just talking about kindness and compassion (or laughing at), just put love into action. Not as it is convenient but as it is needed right there, right that time.

Without expecting anything in return love will evolve in us into abundance and we will be the ones who can ripe its fruits.

Not thousands of years later, but in our life, in our days.

Confirm your Twitter with loving messages and reminders but mostly live them in your life – unconditionally.

If Jesus had had a Twitter account in his time on Earth, he would have definately done this.

Blessings!

An interview with an author of God

One of the greatest contributions of the internet to our lives is that we can get to know the world and its reality more and differently than it is being told to us and we can discover whole new ideas and fantastic people all around the globe.

I’ve been reading a lot of blogs since the start of As I Can See. For quite some time one of them is SueAnn Porter’s and one thing is for sure, her devotion to God appears in her writings and lifestyle as well as her pursue of happiness.

She was kind to make time for this interview, so meet SueAnn Porter, an honest daughter of God on life, faith, challenges and answers and a view on our world today!

(This interview is the second of the series. Read the first with Ben Lorentzen here: An interview with an artist of God.)

1. Dear SueAnn, How are you doing these days? Have you made any New Year’s resolution which hard to keep?

Honestly, I gave up on New Year’s resolutions many years ago.

As you know, I have published an ebook named “Arm Wrestling with Pharaoh” which looks at the Book of Exodus, and the story of Pharaoh and Moses. It compares how we go through situations today, when it looks like all hope is lost, but God has an answer.

armwrestlingwithpharaoh
Right now, it’s only available as an eBook. I am looking into having it printed in paperback.

I have started working on a Time-Travel novel. I am involved in a new writing group, which has been very helpful.

2. You have faced with various challenges in your life. Have you ever felt there is no way to continue, yet, you went on?

There were many times I felt that there was no way to continue – depression was overwhelming to the point of suffocation. I just kept going.

3. Is there any definite moment when we can clearly feel the presence of God, helping us? When were your most definite moments?

When I really stop, be still, then I can sense God’s presence strongly. The world keeps going faster and faster. God lives in Eternity and it’s a much easier pace. When we connect with Eternity, we find peace in God.

4. Reading your blog it is obvious you are deeply committed and grateful to your spouse. How did you two meet?

We met at work. This is a good place to meet someone because you know he has a job! Also, he was taller than me, which was important.

5. After you realized, you are the on to each other, how did you gain wisdom and strength to stay together? What advice could you offer for young couples to persevere?

We live in a throw-away society. If you don’t like something, you trade it in and get something new. In marriage, unless there is abuse or adultery, I don’t believe God really wants us to give up so easily. God has answers for us, especially when we can’t figure it out for ourselves.

6. The world around us has been tremendously changing. Do you think it will slow down or more radical and fundamental changes will come?

I don’t think the world will slow down, but as individuals, and especially as Christians, we will learn to find peace through God living in us, and slow ourselves down. The pace of the world will keep getting faster.

7. A lot of people feels, old times were golden, despite the facts, we have the best medicine and ways of communication these days. Would you rather live in a different era?

There are good and bad to all eras. I think what people miss from the “old days” are that we did slow down. Everything was closed on Sundays. We visited grandparents and cousins. Now, we compete with cell phones. Also, I think kids had instilled in them a sense of right and wrong, and manners. Also the schools taught History, Mathematics and English grammar. Many kids don’t know this information.

I think we are further ahead with race relations, although there still needs to be improvements. Women have better opportunities. And yes, it is fun to communicate with someone on the other side of the world through the internet!

8. Let’s turn to lighter things. Which is your favourite secret recipe? Care to share it with the readers?

I’m really not much of a cook. I have no secrets here.

Bailey, the very spoiled dog.
Bailey, the very spoiled dog.

9. If there was an imaginary list of the most beautiful and positive things in life what would you add to it and why?

I’m the kind of person who would rather be in the mountains than at the beach. There is something about the babbling of a stream that is the ultimate beautiful sound to me. I would invent a Theme Park where people could rent cabins in the middle of the stream. Okay, I might be the only customer but who knows?

10. Nowadays, almost everyone has a certain kind of understanding about the Afterlife. What is yours? Do we really cease to exist, or it is a one way street, or there is a connection between the earthly and spiritual life?

I believe in the Afterlife. We are spirit beings in flesh bodies. While the body dies, the spirit lives forever. There are only two options for the Afterlife: Heaven or Hell. There is no Purgatory. Jesus paid the price for all of our sins to be taken away, so that we would be able to enter Heaven. But we need to believe on Jesus, and more than that, we need to ask Him to come into our life and take over. When someone sincerely repents of their sins, and asks Jesus to come into their life, something spiritual happens. The pure life of God comes to live in us. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in us. This is called being “Born Again.” Jesus said that He is the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one comes to Father God except through Him.

I know that many people believe that there are many ways to God, but I don’t believe this at all. God is King of the Universe, and if He wants people to enter Heaven by Jesus, then we need to follow His way.

11. Life these days looks pretty dark. Do you feel it was better and brighter in your childhood and we are doomed now? What future do you think our children will have? Do you think equality and mutual understanding, care and support will be manifested? Will people live for the sake of others?

I think each generation is different, and they are created to adapt to their time frame. I think that certain things get better, and other things get worse as time goes on. I don’t think we will ever reach true equality and mutual understanding, but we can keep moving towards it. We shouldn’t give up.

12. At last, let me ask you which areas do you think ought to be helped the most in the world? Who can do it? Are we really “too small” for them?

We need to do much more for our Veterans. They should be our number one priority.

We also need to help school children. The money that is wasted in the education system for administrators is abominable. Many kids need to have breakfast at school because they don’t get it at home. Also, school buses are needed for kids that live ½ mile away, instead of a mile away.

Leadership by Example and Honest Government

As I Can See

Government should operate impartially and with integrity. Its leaders should be honest, moral, and virtuous people, who will not take bribes or act corruptly. Because people look up to a nation’s leaders as role models, they should set a good example for the people.

Music and Art: Bridges for Life

Music and Art are expressions of heart and soul and also the key to reach out humanity, resonate together with people around.

Certainly, everything needs to be in accordance with a certain standard.

But does that mean, we need to dance ballet and sing hymns, ode to joy only?

In our characteristics we find a variety, as we are from Heavenly Parent.

In the ideal world -what we can not even really imagine in the lack of knowledge and heart-, we will laugh, we will joy and we will have fun and will have silence in our heart, too.

However, in the era of transformation we still have other feelings, we do not know we will have in Heaven, but all in all, we are like this now.

Can a song be sarcastic, ironic, political, radical, dealing with social issues, harsh and demanding righteousness? Can we laugh on our own circumstances, can we give a hand to others stating we are not from a different planet? Can we lead them through unorthodox way, with less “religious” way?

What is religion? There are many explanations, and many understandings. However, religion aims to guide people back to Heaven, where we all should have been born and where we will be reborn.

And for this, we need to speak the language of the people. We need to know their customs, not to condemn them, but to love them with showing another way.

A newborn baby cannot digest hamburger, spaghetti, pizza, stew or a thanksgiving-turkey.

I am not saying, showing nudity, swearing or cursing is the way. But we need to be honest, we should not stand in a piedestal looking down or something. Our art, our music should reflect our desires, heart, love and care and it must connect to the heart and mind of the people.

Our artistic skills are like teaching, but we are not as much different, and we should not be -in a way-, at all. We are Blessed to know the Truth, we are Blessed to be called by Heaven but we cannot be haughty. We can not deny our ancestors.

We can make a difference, like bridges.

With our skills, talent, endurance this is what we need to do, linking a world we are building and a world we are leaving reachable for everyone. No man leave behind.

We are children of God. We are one family. We are responsible for each other.

We can show our care, love, attitude and perseverance throughout our daily life and with our talent, art, music.

With letting our ownselves enjoying it, accepting our heritage and our new and true life, we can help people to relate to something what they might not even know they are looking for.

Something, we call eternity. Something, we call Heaven.

Enjoy your life in Heavenly Parent!

SMM Quotes – 116

Freedom is not that valuable without love. Freedom is undoubtedly important and everyone wants to have it – yet without love, it is not great. Why is it so? That is because without love, its power cannot continue forever. It is limited, in other words. Without love, freedom will not last. It will change into something else. It may be good when you first get it, but after a while, you get tired of it. You don’t want to be in it anymore. It is not eternal and unchanging. Power without love, money without love, anything without love is not that great-even freedom. – Sun Myung Moon

We are one, we have same roots

The whole of humanity, as well as the animal, vegetable, and mineral kingdoms, has a certain mission to fulfill. Since God is the Creator, He must have a certain plan or pattern for what He wants to accomplish, according to His will. However, we often feel that we would like to do things only the way we want to do them, according to our own will. There is no difference between the races as far as this feeling goes. Oriental or Westerner, rich or poor, everyone has the urge to do as they like.

There are many different classes and levels of people among the five billion people of the world, from the lofty to the lowly. We all think we exist separately or independently from other people or groups, but we do not exist that way. Americans are ancestrally connected to Britain, Europe, and Africa. Beyond that, we are connected to all of history. We are not alone. We are not independent. Have you ever stopped to think that your eyes are not yours alone? Your father’s eyes, your mother’s eyes, your grandparents’ eyes, and all your ancestors’ eyes are in your eyes. They are a part of all history.

When we go out on the street in the springtime, we see women dressed in all different colors, shapes, and designs. Each one wants to stand out from the crowd and be unique, doesn’t she? People like to feel, “I do not belong to anyone. I am completely independent. I don’t have to be influenced by anyone.” But to think like that is to no avail, because it just isn’t so.

While every one of us exists as “I,” as an individual, we are never alone and independent or detached from others. We are a part of the whole of mankind, the whole line of history, and “I” exist in the center of that.
