“Although Jesus came to Earth as one individual, he was not an average individual. He represented all the created beings of the Universe. He represented the whole truth contained in the creation principles of the created world.” – Reverend Sun Myung Moon
“The basic teaching of Jesus Christ can be summed up in one word: love. In order to proclaim greater love you have to deny the love of the world, love of your father, love of your parents, love of your children.” – Reverend Sun Myung Moon
“Sky and Earth will wear out; my words won’t wear out.”
We have been calling God only conceptually. We call God, considering Him as only a subject figure in a religion. However, the reality is vastly different. God is the subject of your life and in fact, the subject of your daily life as well as the subject of your ideal. No matter how vast and expansive the subject of your ideal may be, you must be able to experience God as the substantive reality and to analyse Him through your heart in your daily life. If someone realizes the value of this ideal that is connected to God and brags that this ideal can never be exchanged for any valuables on earth, then they can be the one whom God has been seeking for.
The one thing that you should be grateful for is that God lets you call Him Father; and moreover, that God has been continuing to reach out to you, to establish the bond of relationship by which you can attend Him. There is absolutely no greater value than this. God wants to bring back all fallen human beings and to endow them with the greatest value. This means that God wants to restore human beings as sons and daughters, whom He loves so dearly. You must experience this God who visits you with such a heart. You should know this not just as a concept but feel deeply in your bones as a real experience.
You are destined to attend God who comes to you this way. Although you may attend some leaders on earth, they are not the leaders whom you will attend forever. Even though you may find a representative who advocates this idealism on earth, the representative is not one that you should attend forever. Then, who should you attend forever? That is the eternal and infinite Being, God. You must have this conviction. From the beginning to the end, you must live for and attend to God. You must reach this point.
However, in this world, some may be proud of being a son or a daughter of a head of state, while others are proud of being a son or daughter of the president of a well-known company. But, that is not important. That does not last. It disappears later. If there is any position that you can truly be proud of, it is the fact that the Creator who created all things with the ideal of goodness wants to call you His son or daughter and that you can call Him your Father. Is there any other position that is higher than this?
It is said, “God is love.” Surely, God is a God of love. Why do you say, “God is love”? It is because God promises to give the highest position to human beings and has been guiding them toward it. You may call Him, “Father.” But it may be a just word. You are ignorant of the real content of the word. You must learn the real meaning of the word deeply in your heart. You may be calling the Creator who created the universe, the True Father who is in Heaven, “Father.” However, the question is whether or not you have attended Him as True Father.
Honest reflection on yourself will tell you that you have not attended Him in the true sense. God cannot be satisfied if someone just calls out His name. You must clearly know God has visited you with the desire to see re-established the bond between Father and children – thus creating the centre of all substantial beings. Your salvation does not come just by saying a word but rather by becoming the embodiment of the word. The relationship with God is not just the name or word, but rather creating real bonds of relationship. If the relationship is imagined and name only, you cannot have the real relationship.

If you insist that your family exists for you, the society exists for your sake, your nation exists for your benefit, and the world exists for you, your own direction will be destroyed.
You should put out a feeler to your conscience quietly. Then, you should listen to what it would say. When you see a poor person while walking the street, you should hear what your conscience would tell you. What kind of connection should I have with this person? Suppose, you met someone that you would never imagine meeting, nor would your ancestors in the last several thousands of years have ever thought of meeting. When you see the poor person who is hungry, your conscience tells you, “Give all your money in your wallet to this man.” Even if you have only three hundred won in your wallet, your conscience tells you to share some of it with him.
Then, you would give one hundred won to this person with the result that you now only have two hundred won in your pocket. Then, you continue to walk the street; you encounter someone even more miserable than the person you just saw. Immediately, your conscience shouts, “Help this man.” You follow the voice of the conscience and give this man one hundred won. After that, you meet another person who is more miserable than the previous two. Then, your conscience orders you, “give all you have left.” Following the conscience, you give the rest of the money in your wallet. You are now penniless. Again, you face another miserable person. Your conscience orders you saying, “at least, you should clothe the man with the clothing that you wear. So, you should take off your clothing and give them to him.” This is the nature of the conscience.
One day, you may be proud that you did something good once. However, your conscience would grumble to you. Your conscience would never praise you for that by saying, “You succeeded by doing good deeds and reached your goals. So, you don’t need to do any more. Just enjoy, and cheer ‘Mansei’ for yourself or sing a song of a hero’s welcome.” On the contrary, it would not let you be idle. Your heart continues prodding you, saying, “Do something. Do it now. Act now.” It reminds you to continue doing good deeds. There is no end for the conscience in doing good deeds. This is the world of the heart.
Then, does your conscience push you to do good just for your friends that you love? It does not. Your heart commands that you love your family and environment, live for the sake of your country, and live for the world. By engaging in give and take, you will create a reciprocal basis. Based on the public principle of Heaven and Earth, if you engage in the good give and take action, whatever you give out at this time will remain even after billions of years. This is why people always speak about charity. People everywhere and throughout history have been teaching the principles of such cause and effect. Christianity teaches love and charity. Buddhism edifies benevolence and mercy.
What the religions have been teaching is that you should first sacrifice yourself in order to serve others. For whom should you make such a sacrifice? It is not for your own sake. But, you do it for something greater than yourself.
Let’s look at the life of Jesus. He was chased away wherever he went at the time. He was persecuted and hunted down; thus, Jesus was chased to the cross and passed away. However, Jesus did not try to take revenge against the enemies. Instead, he died for the sake of the enemies and the people of the world, while praying for them. Looking at this, he is different from other saints in history. Even though he died alone, he died for the sake of the world. He had his conviction that he would connect with the entire humanity and the world history in order that he could take responsibility for humankind forever. He wanted to give his own blood that he was shedding on the cross for the sake of the people of his age.
With this conviction and attitude, he was able to give his blood that he shed to humanity for thousand and tens of thousands of generations transcending history and distances. He gave it in the public place where God could recognize it. He gave from the position that God could publicly have recognized. From this meaning, he said, “It is finished.” (John 19:30) Jesus gave perfectly and was recognized by God perfectly. Since he perfectly gave and perfectly received, he can come again when the age demands his return.
He thought about the world as he was breathing his last breath on the cross. At this moment, because he held on to his connection with history and established the standard through which even God was moved to tears, Jesus was able to start a new history and was resurrected from his tomb even though he died on the cross.
At the moment when he was dying and at the place where his life and death was determined, he was almost gambling with his life, yet never lost his virtue. While looking forward to the hope that his heart aspires, he embraced the world and leaned on God as he went the path to his death. Thus, even though Jesus perished, his thought and will would reappear before tens of thousands of people. Moreover, his thought and will did not just end for the tens and thousands of people of his age. But his thought and his will became the motive that caused countless humanity throughout history to long for him as their bridegroom.
A Man Must Live for Something Greater than Himself

Let me ask you this question: is it possible that God wants all of us to be happy?
Is there even a slight chance for this: each and every human who has ever been alive are to be a citizen of Heaven?
Or all this is a mere daydream, which has been floating for ever?
- There are, who say, there is no God.
- There are, who are firm, there is God. And they are willing even to kill for Him.
- There are, who think, the people who believe in God, they have been brainwashed, and God is only for the weak, miserable, poor and unimaginative.
- There are, who think, they are God. In their way of speak and deeds it seems to be true.
But what about God?
I mean, who is He really? What does He want us to do? Can there be anything what He needs from us?
I know a lot of decent, kind heart people, who read the scriptures of their faiths – some of them the Bible, some of them other ones. Interestingly, most of them can not answer these questions beyond dogmatic responses or stating nobody can know, that is the point of faith…
Jesus told us, we have one common root, Heavenly Father.
That makes us siblings – all around the world, way beyond any boundaries of denominations, race, culture or territories.
Jesus became a strong, yet kind, understanding and actively caring, loving sibling for each and every one of us, beyond even the time. We can all feel Him quite often, trying to encourage us to go to the right direction.
Certainly, there are plenty among the saints and sages, true sons and daughters who do the same.
Yet, our common excuses are mostly job related, or even family matters are on the top why not to be able to manifest anything. Since cursing, littering, lying, betraying, are so typical life-skills for us these days.
Carrying the burden of someone else, even our ‘enemy’ – well, that is so ridiculous in the 21st century, that there is almost nobody to step up and do the very same.
Sharing love and wealth, well, that is even crazier nowadays. Who would do that without expecting anything in return? Interestingly, young children normally do this. Yet, today this is not a common ‘life-skill’ for adults, isn’t it?
Being happy by other people’s happiness and success, not by their misfortune and misery, that would be part of the ideal. How could we sleep peacefully, while anybody is suffering, experiencing loss, hunger, unrighteousness! In an ideal state, we wouldn’t even be able to think of sleeping up until we actually helped our siblings in need.
If God wants us to be happy and in abundance, we should start with each other: loving, caring, acting – without expecting anything in return, looking for the sample paths in the Nature and the Messiah.
The people who are experiencing the heart of God in their lives as He works amid the historical sorrow cannot behold God without shedding tears, no matter where they are. When you are aware of the will of God and are fighting to become His sons and daughters, if you have a comrade with whom you share the same cause, God will come there and shed tears.
Where is the source of God’s grief? It is inside us. At the same time it is inside this nation, this world and all things. We must bring an end to this and carry on the movement to restore the joy of God. The centre of life for us is experiencing the grief of God.
The problem is whether we have set the standard to mobilize the spirits of the spirit world, of which people are not aware, and have them bear witness. The spirit world is also demanding this. Because the spirit world is aware of the heart of God, if there are people on the earth who make such an appeal, then the spirit world will mobilize the spirits to help in the affairs of the earth in seeking to realize the ideology of the Kingdom of Heaven.
What is the reason that the spirits in the spirit world cannot come to this earth? It is because this earth is made up of barriers of lamentation. If the environment we dwell in is free of the conditions of lamentation, if through our bodies we can become free from the conditions of sorrow, and if we have entered the realm of peaceful rest in which we do not feel any fear when we are threatened by Satan, then God will help us. To cling to the people who mourn, worry and shed tears for the sake of the Father, Satan must stand in the same position. The forces of Satan will then be fundamentally dismantled.
For this reason, you must experience the sorrow of God, who has been guiding the providence for several thousand years. Taking responsibility for all of heaven and earth, you should be able to say, “Please take us as the sacrifice and make us into the bombs that can explode Satan! Please uproot the sorrow of God.” Jesus came with this kind of heart.
In the same way that Jesus could become the bomb that could produce the resurrection of new life and could perform the works of re- creation by walking the path of Golgotha, you must also produce these kinds of works. After experiencing the heart of God, who has been guiding the providence until now, you must become the people who have the determination and the resolution to offer your minds and bodies for the sake of this world. God is seeking these sons and daughters, one family, one nation and one world.
If you experience this heart of God in your daily life, you then will grieve infinitely over God. God immediately senses the presence of such people. Therefore, you must become such people. If you have failed to become thus, you then must bow down before such people.
Those who can bow down before such people must become the true sons and daughters. Only after that is done can you inherit the great work of the creation of the heavenly principles. Are there such sons and daughters on the earth? You have to become such people. You have to remember that if you fail to do so, you will become sinners who cannot dare to raise their heads before Heaven.
The ears through which you hear, the eyes with which you see, the mouths through which you speak and the feelings that you feel today exist for what purpose? They exist to fulfil the will of the heavenly principles. However, if they deviate from the will of the heavenly principles, they then will surely be confronted with the day of judgement. Since you have come to understand these facts, you must first judge yourself; after then judging the surrounding environment, you can step forward. In other words, the path of the cross is making the judgement upon yourself. You are to first judge your life and then judge your death. Only after passing through the day of resurrection in this manner can you finally become the true sons and daughters which Heaven can recognize.

The people who have struggled to walk the path of public interest have forsaken all that they had and spent their life with a heart that seeks only to live for the sake of the whole. In other words, if what belonged to them turned out to be some condition of sorrow before Heaven and humanity, they courageously eliminated it. You have to feel again that the path on which you are exerting yourself, to eliminate unrighteousness and sin, is none other than the path of the heavenly will.
Although Jesus came to the earth, there was no apostle who truly believed in and attended him. Thus, the only thing he possessed was the one body that God recognized. The Israelites, centred on Judaism, should have been at the forefront in believing in and attending Jesus, but they could not. The world and all things had to bow before Jesus.
What do you have today of which you can be proud? Do you have the confidence to represent history or transcend time to assert that something is your own? You are weak people and cannot. You do not have anything you can call your own today. Today this land has lost its master, and the people have also lost their master.
What must you do in this situation? You must never pack to leave, for your own sake, to avoid this course of sorrow. If you possess the heart to govern the universe, then you can forsake that kind of thought and go forward. If you want to live, then you must offer your life. If you want to win the victory, you must step above death and rise. When you walk this kind of path, because you are human, you cannot prevent sorrow from seeping into your heart, even without your being aware of it. However, people must overcome this hill of sorrow and offer all of their minds and bodies to the Father. They then may go in search of all things.
Now we must learn how to offer material things, everything we have, to the Father and fight with Satan on behalf of Heaven. When your minds and bodies are offered totally as the Father’s own, Satan cannot make false charges.
God comes seeking us as individuals, but He wants to find the family, the society and the world centring on these individuals. The course of the providential history of Heaven has descended all the way down to the earth while seeking us. Now it must go toward the direction of Heaven again centring on us, but that path has been blocked. The people who are pursuing goodness have cut off and denied all worldly things until now. They have tried to seek the way through which they can establish the original things lost before God, but we must understand that this way has reached its limit.
Until now, our sorrow has been for the sake of finding God. What kind of sorrow remains in the end period of all religions? What remains are the sorrow that seeks to attend God and go to the end of the earth. Therefore, you must go forward with the determination to realize the will of God with the notion of having received a royal summons.
You must feel the grief of God. You must experience the grieving heart of Jesus. You must feel substantially the fact that for 6,000 long years, God has been groping in grief to seek each of you.
Even in this hour, God is concerned about people and the many future generations and is exerting Himself, wishing for an eternal kingdom to be built on the earth. However, today people have been completely neglecting this fact.
