What does God want from us?

Let me ask you this question: is it possible that God wants all of us to be happy?

Is there even a slight chance for this: each and every human who has ever been alive are to be a citizen of Heaven?

Or all this is a mere daydream, which has been floating for ever?

  • There are, who say, there is no God.
  • There are, who are firm, there is God. And they are willing even to kill for Him.
  • There are, who think, the people who believe in God, they have been brainwashed, and God is only for the weak, miserable, poor and unimaginative.
  • There are, who think, they are God. In their way of speak and deeds it seems to be true.

But what about God?

I mean, who is He really? What does He want us to do? Can there be anything what He needs from us?

I know a lot of decent, kind heart people, who read the scriptures of their faiths – some of them the Bible, some of them other ones. Interestingly, most of them can not answer these questions beyond dogmatic responses or stating nobody can know, that is the point of faith…

Jesus told us, we have one common root, Heavenly Father.

That makes us siblings – all around the world, way beyond any boundaries of denominations, race, culture or territories.

Jesus became a strong, yet kind, understanding and actively caring, loving sibling for each and every one of us, beyond even the time. We can all feel Him quite often, trying to encourage us to go to the right direction.

Certainly, there are plenty among the saints and sages, true sons and daughters who do the same.

Yet, our common excuses are mostly job related, or even family matters are on the top why not to be able to manifest anything. Since cursing, littering, lying, betraying, are so typical life-skills for us these days.

Carrying the burden of someone else, even our ‘enemy’ – well, that is so ridiculous in the 21st century, that there is almost nobody to step up and do the very same.

Sharing love and wealth, well, that is even crazier nowadays. Who would do that without expecting anything in return? Interestingly, young children normally do this. Yet, today this is not a common ‘life-skill’ for adults, isn’t it?

Being happy by other people’s happiness and success, not by their misfortune and misery, that would be part of the ideal. How could we sleep peacefully, while anybody is suffering, experiencing loss, hunger, unrighteousness! In an ideal state, we wouldn’t even be able to think of sleeping up until we actually helped our siblings in need.

If God wants us to be happy and in abundance, we should start with each other: loving, caring, acting – without expecting anything in return, looking for the sample paths in the Nature and the Messiah.

God wants you to…

God wants you to be happy,

God wants you to try,

God wants you to have a smile

Every day in your life.

God wants you to help others,

God wants you to try,

God wants you to give a chance

To everyone in your life.

God wants you to find peace.

God wants you to try,

God wants you to create a world

Where hearts spread love day and night.

Why Human Beings Seek to Become Beings of Higher Value

It is true that the people who live in this world wish to see improvement around them. They cherish a certain hope, even if they are not consciously aware of it. It is true that they seek to become beings of a higher level of value in the future than they are now.

Such a human proclivity will continue as history flows. It was the case in the past, it is the case in the present, and it will be the case in the future. When you think of this matter, you come face to face with the very important question of when the ideal world we seek will come.

We know that there were thoughtful people in the past. However, the environment or the society, the state or the world in which they lived could not satisfy their desire. When we think of this, we can deduce that there were people throughout the periods of history who gave a lot of thought to surmounting their environment and developing it into a higher dimension, a future world of hope.

It is the same now and it will be the same in the future. Why are we so? Why must we seek to attain the ideal of the future like this? It is because human beings did not have an ideal start from the very beginning. Because human beings could not start from an ideal position, they cannot but go toward the ideal. That is the natural conclusion.

Why couldn’t we start from the ideal position? If we had become more valuable beings than our original state, then we would have started from an ideal position. Why, then, couldn’t we begin ideally? What was the reason? All the people of the past, present and future picture the ideal in their minds. If God created human beings with love, He should have enabled them to go from an ideal starting position to a place of better and higher happiness, yet He didn’t. What was the reason? Considering these matters, we cannot help but think that there is some aspect of failure here.

From this point of view, if God existed as the center of an absolute ideal, He would have wanted to help human beings become thus. Human beings were not to assume such a position right from birth. If human beings came to be in such a position after a process, even though they are not that way from the start, we can accept God as good. If, on the contrary, human beings were left in a position where they were forever yearning for this ideal yet never got past the start, then we cannot help but conclude that God cannot be our ideal center.

Human beings are in a position to yearn for such things as goodness, ideals and happiness because, while they go through the prescribed process, they have not yet been able to emerge from it. In this sense, we cannot but recognize such terminology as the Fall, which religious people use. When we apply such a term as the Fall and acknowledge that it occurred, then we understand these matters. Why is it so? It is because people are in the fallen realm.

Our human ancestors fell right at the place where they could have made an ideal start, having already gone over a certain period. They were facing the time of the ideal. Yet because they fell from that state, none of their descendants could surmount and rise above that standard. Therefore, the original standard which we must go over with hope for the future still remains to be achieved. The action of our conscience, that is, our original nature, is moving toward that original standard at all times, even when we are not aware of it.

For instance, let’s take the case of a magnet. The strongly positive magnetic force of one magnet orients itself unconsciously toward the negative magnetic force of another magnet. The same type of action takes place in our minds or in the constitution of our original nature.

Quote

“The true perfection of the individual, family, society or environment has its root in the realization of True Love within a family. People who have become the embodiment of God’s True Love cannot disobey God’s Will, violate other people, or misuse Creation.” – Reverend Sun Myung Moon

The beginning of the time of the Second Advent

God wishes to love men by raising them up through the Jesus of faith, and through the Jesus of truth. He truly wants to love you all. When we are told today that we should follow the example of Jesus, at least in our hearts we should be able to say Yes, that is true. If you cannot become such people, then how can Jesus, who could not rest for even a second until now take a rest?

Therefore, you should take on these conditions that God has put forth as His pride. You should establish the conditions that stand as the pride of Jesus who has gone to the spirit world on the earth. By doing so, you will become the ones God can take pride in.

First, you have to be proud of the fact that you believe in things the world cannot believe in. Then you should be proud of the victory won in the fight with Satan. You should be proud of the responsibility that you bear in a world where people avoid responsibility.

On that account, the pride of God should reach all the way down to us through Jesus in the spirit world, and it should even extend down to the creation on the earth through us. Only when that takes place can God fulfill the ideal of creation in which He willed to raise men up as the central figures before the creation and to take pride in them. Finally man and all things can offer bows of gratitude to God, who takes pride in them. Such responsibility of the whole lies on our shoulders.

We, who are here today are very unworthy. Our faith is also pathetic. From now on, when men have to fight with Satan, we should pray “Dear Father, please give strength to humanity so that they can fight and win over Satan. Please guide all of humanity so that they can bear the responsibility.” Moreover, you should face the enemy of the whole. Fighting alone and prevailing over him, you should be able to say “God, I offer this joy to you.” God’s suffering and grief will be resolved through people who can show before God that they are taking on all the responsibility of the world and who can proudly show the center that is taking on the responsibility before the many saints and the world of creation. It is through such people that God’s Will can be realized. You have to understand this clearly. Let us pray.

An Ideal Partner

No matter how hard human beings pursue the ideal, they cannot find it without God. Hence, the term “ideal” is one that begins from God. When you refer to an ideal partner, what do you mean by that? You would probably say, “If you and I like each other, we are ideal partners.” Wouldn’t you say that? That is not an ideal partner. God must be present. God would tell man A and woman B, I cannot live without you. I desire that you love and like each other. I hope that you can like each other more than I like you.

Only when this happens, does one become an ideal partner to God. Simply put, a person that can set this standard is an ideal partner. Do you understand? Being good-looking is not ideal; nor is succeeding in society after getting a master’s or doctorate degree ideal. People that love each other, from a position that God can like, are ideal partners.

What, then, should you do to become a partner that is in a position God likes? What are the things that should take place for God to like you? How can one become a partner that God likes?

God has been relating to the fallen world until now. In other words, God has been enduring the historical progress of the fallen world while holding on to his hope of an ideal world.

However, God cannot realize this ideal by himself. Simply put, God cannot restore the ideal world without passing through the gateway of human beings, which are in the position of his ideal partners. God must pass through the gate of his ideal partners. God must be able to pass through the gate of an ideal partner that he can like.

For God to pass through the door of the ideal partner, the subjective, internal nature and the objective, external form must all exist within that ideal. The subjective, internal nature is male while the objective, external form of the male is female. However, when passing through the door of the ideal partner, one cannot pass through it all at once. The logic of heaven and earth does not come out all at once. Even when giving birth, the baby does not come out all at once. Even if you give birth to twins, they are different from one another. The directions are different. That is why the history of restoration until now has been about first looking for a man that is an ideal subject. Hence, we can say that the pursuit of the six-thousand-year history, what was being sought, was Adam, one person, alone.

History tried to look for Adam alone but could not find such a being until now. Heaven has been looking for a man whom he could like the most, a man whom he could entrust everything to, a man that can understand the entire circumstance of God Almighty, a man that can make the heart of God, which is hidden inside, overflow by more than 100 percent, a man that can become his substantial son. Not being able to set up such a man has been the source of God’s deepest sorrow.

Therefore, the history of restoration has pursued such a man; a man with all the aspects of the ideal man God had internally constructed and a man that God can like. Until that ideal man is found, the ideal woman cannot be found. Hence, what has history been looking for throughout these six thousand years? This one man.

How hard has God worked to find this one man? His work did not only last for one or two days. Nor did he work for only a year or for a hundred years. It took him thousands of years. How desperately did God long for this one man as the thousands of years passed by? How anxiously did he wait for this one man? How often would he have called this one man? Internally, he probably called this man dozens of millions of times. How strong was his desire to love this man? Imagine how much God has longed to live with this one man and share love with this person.

Quote

“A patriot is one who truly loves his country and works unselfishly for its benefit. A filial son or daughter is the one who truly loves his parents and the rest of the family. The saints or holy men and these others all have the same elements though to a different degree. They strive to meet God as a victor.” – Reverend Sun Myung Moon

Where is God’s Heart?

God’s heart is found not only in God’s word but also in all things He created. In heaven and earth, God’s heart is everywhere. This is why we say that there is nowhere that God doesn’t dwell – that is, God is omnipresent. Since God’s heart is found in the things you see, if you want to be in His heart you should have the heart to embrace those things and all that exists in heaven and on earth as yours. This is God’s heart.

A person that reaches the highest point on the religious way is one who belongs within the heart of God. The one whose heart sings eternally even at the sight of a flying bird or a fragrant flower does not dwell among all things of creation but, rather, within God’s heart.

The root cause of religious conflict

The root cause of religious conflict lies in the vagueness of the doctrines of the ultimate reality. The absolute being is only one; there cannot be two or three absolute beings. However, the leaders of each religion claim that only their absolute being is the true God and that other gods are not true gods. This results in each religion having its own absolute being, and fosters further contradictory ideas of the existence of many absolute beings. Since this leads to the conclusion that the gods of all religions are nothing but relative gods, the system of absolute values – that should have been developed through religion based on the doctrine concerning God’s love and truth – still remains relative.

In other words, we conclude that religions to this day have not established an absolute value system to settle the confusion. This inevitably results from the fact that no religion has been able to present the correct explanation about the Absolute Being.

“How can God and human beings be united with each other? All creatures must and can be united with the owner (creator). Therefore, God and created human beings are to be able to be united with each other through resonating in heart.” – Sun Myung Moon
