Man Should Be the Starting Point for the Historical Fulfilment of Hope

Because the body did not follow the mind’s demands, mankind has been trying until now to find a place where the body can satisfy what the mind desires. In order to stop the fight between the mind and the body, and to re-establish the original point of tranquillity, many people have suffered all kinds of toil through the road of religion, the road of asceticism, and the road of education. But in the history of mankind there has never been a person anywhere who could achieve the decisive victory in attaining the original point of tranquillity.

This fight has constantly been going on, from the past to the present, and it is continuing even within yourselves. It has been mankind’s hope to settle this fight once and for all. It has also been the hope of God, who is leading mankind. Then what should be the starting point for the fulfilment of this hope, which is the hope of God, the hope of mankind? Where should the fulfilment of this hope start? Before it is fulfilled in the world, it has to be completed in the nation, and before it is fulfilled in the nation it has to be done in the family, and before it is fulfilled in the family, it has to be done in the individual.

Ultimately, instead of desiring to see its fulfilment in the outside world, I must prepare it inside myself. Unless we find that starting point for a decisive victory within ourselves, the Kingdom of Heaven that we desire and that God desires will not be realized. The problem of making unity within oneself, who is divided, who is fighting on a forked road, is the homework that mankind has to resolve. It is also the historical desire of God, who is always looking for the starting point of victory through mankind.

When we try to find where that returning point is, which is the desire of history, it is not the world, not some nation, not some family. Without first finding this returning point within myself there is no way to go from the family to the world. Throughout history, families have been formed centring on individuals who have not found this solution. Societies have been formed by these kinds of families. The nation and the world have spread out, centring on these kinds of societies. This is the situation of today’s world.

This fight has been continuing throughout history. Then where is the origin of this fight? It is not some country that became the cause of this fight. It is not some tribe. The origin of this fight is, in all aspects, between the individual’s mind and body. You must know that this is the origin of the fight. Unless we settle this completely, the fight will never end. When unity is established, finally, once and for all, the authority of God will appear and the standard of perfection will come into existence centring on “myself”.

When we look at it this way, the place where God’s authority is established is “I”. The place where God’s desire is fulfilled is also “I”. All success or failure begins with the individual. Therefore, when the individual is completely perfected, there you can see the image of the whole. In the middle of this image of the whole, finally, a world of true ideology with one form can appear. Therefore, we cannot deny the fact that the origin of everything does not exist in the objective world but inside ourselves.

Where is the direction

Where is the direction
I feel I’m lost
What is the way
I’ve forgotten

I was supposed to win
Every battle
Now I’m drifting
Through the time

Sometimes I wish
I knew
How to undo all
I’ve misdone

It’s not like that
I’m crying
I’m too stubborn
To admit

Where is my game
Playing
To know is all
I’ve ever wanted

I wonder if the flowers
Will dry out again

God to His Child

I won’t be able to tell you

How much I was in love

With each and every thoughts

Even before you came to this world

I was the proudest parent

Who made your bed

Safe and perfect

I couldn’t help but to prepare everything ahead

I was longing for the day

When you would be born

And I was enjoying the moments

Of waiting with daydreams

I couldn’t count the time

Still I can’t

How long it took

For you to come

And then there was the moment

When you first inhaled

The soft and rich air

Created for your breath

I will never forget

How much you loved to be tickled

Your beautiful eyes

As you came to know the magical Nature

I’m still living partly in those times

It helps me in hard days

When there is only the hope left

To make this world better

I won’t be able to tell you

How deep is the love I feel

Because it is endless

Because you are far away

I wish we were one

Once again

God has waited for you so long

God has waited for you so long
And you have waited for Him, too
Why can’t He talk to you directly
And why can’t you hear Him clearly

He has been trying without any rest
And it seems you have slept
How can He still have more energy
And when will you feel His need

God has protected the dreams and hopes
And He’s been waiting for you
He has never given up on you
And that’s why it’s time to manifest the truth

Why are you so important to God?

When you look at our world outside today, common sense tells you that there cannot be much joy or hope for God and not much of anything which He can take pride in. If that is the case, but you as an individual, church or nation can bring hope to God then you are indispensable to God. You don’t have to lead a powerful nation to be needed by God. If you are just one feeble individual yet you harbour hope for God then you are very precious to Him, more than anything else in the world. This world is now living in despair and hopelessness. If in spite of the bleakness you can offer hope to the world then you don’t need to have power for this entire world to look at you with great expectation. Throughout history people lived in tragedy and sadness and corruption and any individual who can bring hope to the world and God is certainly precious. It doesn’t matter whether that person is a woman or man, as long as that person becomes the hope of God and mankind and history.

SMM Quotes – 224

Quote

“If any individual is conceived and born in hope and raised in hope and finally achieves that hope, then truly that person is most accomplished and happy. No one can expect any better life than that one. When parents who are on their deathbed bring their children to the bedside and give them their will, this is not really a sad moment; this is the very significant moment of transferring that hope to a new generation.” – Reverend Sun Myung Moon

To Be Able to Stand Before God

The person for which God wished after establishing the ideology of creation has been hoped for throughout history. Yet he has not been able to appear as a substantial being. Because God wished for the day of hope and a person who had that hope, He has been able to fight with endurance for the six- thousand-year historical course. Because His mind is strong, because He knows that the day will come when He will meet that person, Heaven has endured until now.

Jesus equipped himself with the grace of resurrection, yet after passing beyond the cross, he left this world after establishing the day of hope with his promise, “I will come again.” He was not able to boast of the day of hope at his resurrection. Since that time, longing for the day he promised to come again, Jesus has fought for two thousand years. Since Heaven walks this path, we today who are on this earth also must walk such a path. Furthermore, we must know that there is a history of toil in which Heaven has labored to establish the beings of original character created on this earth, our original selves. We must have the mind to feel concern about Heaven’s honor and dignity. We must know how to march forward singing of the historical day of hope. “I” am going to meet the Lord of Resurrection who comes in glory. I must have an unwavering standard for such a self, and we must make a determination and vow that we will keep to our journey no matter what, until the day we find the answer. Otherwise, we cannot deny that our life of faith has violated our true self, rather than otherwise.

Coming through the two-thousand-year historical course after Jesus, Heaven has endured, looking forward to the day of hope that is to come again. Considering that such has been the course of history, that I serve the family members and that I find the family members and give them counsel is not strange. In going forth in search of the day of receiving the central figure, the bridegroom, you must know that a decoration and ornament must be prepared as a bride. You must be able to shed tears before the Father, thanking Him and taking delight. The Heavenly World is vast and infinite. When we go forth to the position where we appeal to Heaven, deeply moved, thinking of the Infinite Being, Jesus will seek for us and welcome those of us who came seeking with hope. Such will be a time of spiritual experience for you, the time when you meet Jesus spiritually. For that reason, I wish you to be deeply imbued with a mind that wishes to meet him. The one who does not have that mind cannot find the second “I” that is to be raised in front of the Father. He cannot stand before the Father. This is the conclusion to which we come. We must know this clearly.

Sometimes we can’t

Sometimes we want to give and we can’t

Sometimes we want to feel and we can’t

Sometimes we want to act and we can’t

Sometimes we want to transcend and we can’t

Sometimes we want to win and we can’t

Sometimes we want to stop and we can’t

Sometimes we want to create and we can’t

Sometimes we want to save and we can’t

Sometimes we want to pray and we can’t

Sometimes we want to hope and we can’t

Sometimes we want to face and we can’t

Sometimes we want to fade and we can’t

Sometimes we want to talk and we can’t

Sometimes we want to listen and we can’t

Sometimes we want to see and we can’t

Sometimes we want to feel and we can’t

Sometimes even to be is impossible

Sometimes everything is doubted

Sometimes life is shattered

There is always tomorrow with a Heavenly Heart

Reasons of Religious Conflicts

Religious wars continue to occur because many politicians use the enmity between religions to satisfy their selfish designs. In the face of political power, religions often waver and lose their way. They lose sight of their original purpose, which is to exist for the sake of peace. All religions have a responsibility to advance the cause of world peace. Yet, lamentably, we see that religions instead become the cause of conflict. Behind this evil we find the machinations of politics, with its power and money. The responsibility of a leader, above all else, is to keep the peace. Yet leaders often seem to do the opposite and lead the world into confrontation and violence.

Leaders use the language of religion and nationalism to hide their selfish ambitions. Unless their hearts are set right, countries and nationalities will wander in confusion. Religion and love of one’s nation are not evil in their essence. They are valuable if these impulses are used to contribute to building a global human community. When the claim is made that only a particular religion or ethnic group is right and when other religions and ethnic groups are treated with disdain and attacked, religion and love of nation lose their value. When a religion goes so far as to trample on others and treat other religions as worthless, it no longer embodies goodness. The same is true when love of nation is used to emphasize the righteousness of a person’s own country over others.

The truth of the universe is that we must acknowledge each other and help each other. Even the smallest animals know this. Cats and dogs do not get along, but if you raise them in the same  household, they embrace each other’s offspring and are friendly toward each other. We see the same thing in plants. The vine that winds its way up a tree depends on the trunk to support it. The tree, however, does not say, “Hey, what do you think you’re doing, winding your way up my trunk?”

The principle of the universe is for everyone to live together, for the sake of one another. Anyone who deviates from this principle faces certain ruin. If nationalities and religions continue maliciously to attack each other, humanity has no future. There will be an endless cycle of terror and warfare until one day we become extinct. But we are not without hope. Clearly there is hope.

When You Believe

There can be miracles, when you believe…

Many nights we prayed
With no proof anyone could hear
In our hearts a hope for a song
We barely understood

Now we are not afraid
Although we know there’s much to fear
We were moving mountains
Long before we knew we could, whoa, yes

There can be miracles
When you believe
Though hope is frail
Its hard to kill

Who knows what miracles
You can achieve
When you believe somehow you will
You will when you believe

In this time of fear
When prayer so often proves in vain

Hope seems like the summer bird
Too swiftly flown away
Yet now I’m standing here
My hearts so full, I can’t explain

Seeking faith and speakin’ words
I never thought I’d say
There can be miracles
When you believe (When you believe)

Though hope is frail
Its hard to kill (Mmm)
Who knows what miracles
You can achieve (You can achieve)

When you believe somehow you will
You will when you believe

They don’t always happen when you ask
And its easy to give in to your fears
But when you’re blinded by your pain
Can’t see the way, get through the rain

A small but still, resilient voice
Says hope is very near, oh (Oh)
There can be miracles (Miracles)
When you believe (Boy, when you believe, yeah) (Though hope is frail)

Though hope is frail (Its hard)
Its hard to kill (Hard to kill, oh, yeah)
Who knows what miracles
You can achieve (You can achieve, oh)

When you believe somehow you will (Somehow, somehow, somehow)
Somehow you will (I know, I know, know)
You will when you believe
