The True Meaning of Peace (08)

“We long for an ideal world where the purpose of creation has been consummated, a world transcendent of the world of consciousness. I yearn for a world where I can feel endless peace, even on seeing a blade of grass, and where I can extol the value of its existence. Though a relatively small being, man has to reach the position where he can receive praise from all things of creation, which say, “We’re surprised that whenever man moves, heaven and earth move, God’s heart moves, and eternal life moves, too.” That is the place to which all human beings have to go. That is the kind of place that mankind must go.” – Reverend Sun Myung Moon

Becoming a Responsible Person

As I Can See

Seen from the viewpoint of God’s providence, there are people responsible over internal things and people responsible over external things. Which kind of responsible persons are more important? Many young people think that they want to be responsible over a nation. Each one thinks that he wants to be the most important, capable leader of the nation. He especially wants to cause his nation to develop and progress more than ever, and thinks of many ways to do this. He must have the capacity, potential, or power to do this, and he will have many ways to apply the power. He must know how to organize and develop. Before taking action he must study the situation closely and see how things have been developing in his nation. Then he must use some power or capacity to cause progress to occur. He wants to leave what is already good and either…

The Hope Which Can Win Over Death

As I Can See

A person entertains all kinds of hope in his life. However, he runs into death in the end and passes away, having abandoned all the hopes he had fostered. Although he wanders about seeking a new hope, wishing to live today and tomorrow, when he runs into death, he goes the last path in despair. We know this very well.

A person does not have a hope with which he can go over the hill of death, even though he seems to have hope centering on himself. He fades away without such a hope. There are questions then to be considered. Are we to take this for the norm of life? Are we to seek out a hope with which we can go beyond death, scoffing at it and even delighting in it? These are the important questions people living on this earth today must consider.

Everything in the world…

Hope and the Life of Practice

As I Can See

After Jesus came and left, his twelve disciples walked the same path. They went into Rome and endured the severity of persecution. They were crucified and put to death. They were left for dead. In spite of such, they still did not give up their hope. The joy that they received from having hope was stronger than the fear they felt of death, stronger than any pain they received from tribulation; stronger than any armament. It was stronger than any influence and anything that was boasted of in the world. We have learned that Christianity was established on the grounds which prophets and sages walked, embracing hope more strongly than anything else.

Today we are placed in a situation where we too must entertain a new hope and set up and affect an object on the worldwide level. This being the reality, you will have to understand that the hope…

Someone was happy to find you just the way you are

As I Can See

Conception begins with two cells that keep dividing and by the time a person is an adult the number of his cells is truly an astronomical figure. We can imagine that the distance from the tip of our foot to the top of our head is comparable to the distance from one end of the solar system to the other. A baby in its mother’s womb is already a big universe.

The cells don’t know how the whole being is going to be shaped. Imagine that the eyes didn’t find their right place and ended up at the navel instead. Perhaps one palm might be turned outward while the other faced the normal way. The nose could have been made crooked by one simple misalignment of cells, or the teeth could have grown from the fingertips. Imagine how easily the parts of your body could have been misplaced. But they…

What is true never perishes

As I Can See

What is true never perishes; it keeps growing. Therefore, you have no reason to despair, knowing that there is God, the subject, who will take absolute responsibility for whatever you leave behind for His sake. He will find the people who are willing to inherit the tradition of your commitment and expand it to the world.

You don’t need to seek praise and approval from other people nor feel bad because no one appreciates your efforts. Look at a tree that is just about to bring forth new shoots in the spring. Doesn’t it look lonesome somehow? Who would imagine that one day this lonely plant will grow to be a towering tree and that many birds will come and make their nests in it? A tree grows silently to maturity, but when the time is ripe, it naturally bears fruit, which the entire universe will then be able to…

The Value of Hope

As I Can See

Each of us goes through life ignorant of when we will die. We do not know that we won’t die in a traffic accident. I think some people will die saying, “Oh, Reverend Moon was right!” expressing regret only at that moment. We need to know that we are traveling a very serious path in life. We need to use every second of our life to prepare ourselves for the eternal world. We should be aware that we are standing on such a fateful path.

When people go to spirit world, they can be divided into two general types. The first comprises those who live out their natural life in this world, and the second comprises those who experience an untimely death. Among the latter, some die as a result of punishment and others die in order to pay indemnity for the nation or the world. Suppose God established one…

Overcoming the Fear of Death

As I Can See

Someday I, too, will die. When we are young, we don’t think much about death. But we become increasingly serious about death as we grow older. This is because death is a gate through which we are inevitably destined to pass. But what happens to us after we die? Do you know why I am talking about death? I talk about death in order to teach the meaning of life. Who really knows the value of life? It is not the person who is going all out to preserve his life. The only person who really knows about life is the one who goes into the valley of death. He confirms the meaning of life as he desperately cries out to Heaven at the crossroads of life and death.

Why do people fear death? It is because they do not know the purpose for which we are born. Those who…

Love Makes Us Equal

As I Can See

True love makes us all equal. In love there is no higher or lower, there is no greater or lesser. Everyone will participate in the same glory in the name of true love. Once we participate in true love we all become great. Take President Reagan for example. The First Lady has come to be honored and respected and loved by the multitudes worldwide and treated on an equal level with President Reagan. By what power has she accomplished that? By the power of love. Love unites her with her husband and for that reason they are treated equally. Therefore, love makes us equal.

Also, love can be inherited and passed on from generation to generation. In accordance with this principle I can say that once we unite with the true love of God, once we become one with the Almighty, we can participate in His glory. Furthermore, we are…

Failed Resurrection

I failed my resurrection, many times.
Just now, as it was this night, a long-prepared chance to grow and change for the better side – it’s gone. It’s not the first, I missed my opportunity and pulled someone, a most beloved one, back to the mud of fallen life.

I feel I betrayed God and all the good spirits who started to trust again, believe in me, again, step by step, during the last period, since the last failure. It is always harder and harder for them, to rely on me freely, after each disappointment.

It is easy to say after, just a little, even less than last time was missing for the success. Still, a 99% cannot be offered to Heavenly Father. His realm starts when we fulfill our own part 100%. When I fulfill.

I’m sure, He knows it very well, what a tremendous battle is inside these times, He has already taught me knowledge and wisdom through others. I cannot make excuses. I lost my head, mindset and attitude. I just wanted to be happy, I just wanted everything at once, I just wanted to enjoy and melt into, maybe through the old ways a bit.

Desires are not bad. Passion is not bad. Doing something for me I asking is not bad. Balance. Extreme desires, lust and selfishness are far from God. Out of His ideal. Immature existence with misused knowledge and practice can not belong to the direct realm of Heavenly Father. Being clever after us not enough.

It is true, not God will judge us but ourselves. Now, with clearer mindset, I clearly can point out sine wrongdoings, felt like deadly sins. And if life is with God, then being without Him is death, agony. I pushed Him away, caused Him pain and misused His love, trust.

What can I do?

I said sorry, asked for forgiveness – neither of them could change the feeling of being fallen, again. Like living and seeing the past history, I’m the wrong side, the distance from Heaven, the Heart and Bosom of God is indescribable pain. I paid His love with grief.

We know more about Heavenly Father, ideal world, creation, salvation than any who lived before us. Here, today, I was unable to uphold to basic law of the Universe, the living for the sake of others. I wanted to feel more, knowing ‘I was right’ – and failed. Despite all the techniques and tactics I let my emotions, immature emotions overcome the Word in me.

I know, life will go on, possibly with many other chances to grow and love, maybe to do things better. Yet the pain I caused feels eternal, and doesn’t go away.

Step by step, brick by brick, after each and every prayer and valuable, God-level-resembling deed it can be better, will be better.

I’m sorry, Heavenly Father, I’m truly sorry. I wish I could turn back time, I wish You could trust me, again, soon, now. I wish You could stay and find a place in me to dwell, a spotless, bright, eternal, true part in me.

Please, forgive me, Heavenly Father!
I failed. I want to make it better. Please, try to trust and believe in me, I can do it better, I will try again, and I will make it, I promise You. Please, forgive me!
