The Will of God Toward Adam and Eve

You know very well that when God was creating all things of Heaven and earth, He began with the intention of finding eternal, peaceful rest in the created world. However, you also know well that this foundation God created was handed over to Satan because of the fall of man.

Consequently, although a long period of 6,000 years has passed, you must clearly understand that in not even one small corner of this earth has a nest, a place of rest, been secured. You have to fathom the aching heart of God that came into existence because of this.

What did God use then as the basis to create all things? He began to create all things through the eternal and unique words of truth. The purpose of God’s creation of Adam and Eve was His hope that they would perfect the purpose of those words and become the substantial bodies in which He could substantially dwell. Furthermore, when God blew in the breath of life, He tried to create a place of rest in their minds by dwelling there as the eternal subject of life. God created Adam and Eve after establishing this great purpose of the heavenly principles.

To put it another way, after creating Adam and Eve, God tried to establish the laws of life in the Kingdom of Heaven with words. Through their bodies, He tried to form the altar in which He could personally dwell. In their minds, God tried to build the holy temple where He could directly settle down.

However, the laws of the heavenly principles, which can act on behalf of the words of truth, also disappeared from human beings due to the fall of Adam. Adam was created as the body of God. When he fell, the temple in which God could live also disappeared from the human world. The basis of the mind where the invisible God could dwell, sitting on the eternal throne as the substantial hero, also disappeared.

The laws which represent the words, the ideology of creation and the body (the holy temple of all things) all went out of line with the original will due to the fall, so did the mind that can represent the holy of the holies in the invisible world. The sorrow of God began from there. Therefore, the minds of men, who were created for the sake of Heaven, also became sorrowful. The body that must relate with that mind also became sorrowful. The result was that the laws which represent the words of truth, based upon which the mind and body could move, also disappeared from human beings.

When we examine the standard and content of the basic principles of Heaven, where, among the innumerable people on this earth, would the laws of the words of truth that Heaven is seeking emerge? Where would the substantial temple, where God can dwell, emerge among those who were born of the sinful lineage due to the fall? Where on this earth would the temple that will become the holy of the holies, where God can dwell, instead of the infinite invisible world, emerge? Countless people throughout the course of history have tried to solve these things. Today, in this hour, you must realize that countless prophets and patriots have walked through a course of shedding blood and tears while offering many sacrifices, all to accomplish this purpose.

Therefore, there must now appear on this earth the person who possesses the words that can be considered the best in Heaven and on earth. A person must appear who can build the substantial temple of the invisible God to bring Him joy and give Him support. He must possess the cosmic value that represents Heaven and earth. The basis of one power which can represent the spirit world and the throne of the Father, which can also attain the substantial ideology to be able to move the world of creation, is the hope of God, the hope of humanity and the hope of all people of faith who must receive salvation today.

What have we humans lost? Looking at it centring on ourselves, we have lost the laws of the words based upon which we can stand before Heaven. We have lost our bodies where God can dwell and the temple of the mind that can represent the centre of the throne of eternal life. Similarly, because people have lost all right of possession, they are endlessly struggling in search of something. Consequently, today you must consider the search for the words of God that can represent the heavenly principles as your own hope. Today and tomorrow, you must dash forward at full speed.

First a man must shed tears for man, and then he must discover the realm of God’s tears

Where can man truly find happiness then? The ultimate happiness comes when he can conquer not only the tears of man but of God as well. We must restore the world to the realm where God no longer needs to shed tears. The history of tears began because of the fall of man. When we conquer the realm of man’s degradation then we can certainly find the realm where God and man no longer need to shed tears. This is precisely the point we are approaching today. It is our destiny as men to go over the two hills of tears. We must cross over these two hills in order to be totally happy. Those who are trying to pursue the road of truth must shed tears over the misery of humanity and taste the suffering of man. A thinking man could only be grieved by the problems of man’ the suffering and dying of men and all the misery that permeates our society.

Many young people think about what the real purpose of life is and they agonize over how and where they should direct their young energy. That is the beginning of the road along which you will conquer tears. Those people who never even think about those things -the meaning and purpose of life and death- do not even belong to the species of man. Thinking people wonder about their own lives and also about the society’ nation and world and they grapple with the problem of bringing a solution to those who are suffering and in misery. Man has to think in that direction.

Grief over the suffering and sorrow of man alone will not bring any lasting solution. Man has to go further, down to the bottom and origin of tears. We have to go beyond human tears and realize the tears of God. Tears that are shed for one’s own sake or the sake of one’s nation, for the human level alone, cannot ultimately contribute to the over-all solution of bringing back the ideal world here on earth. No matter what, all of that is still within the realm of selfishness, being merely the continuation of the tears that were shed by Adam and Eve for themselves.

Everyone must discover the new realm of tears that God has shed and deeply experience the taste of those tears; otherwise we will never solve human problems. This means learning how to shed tears beyond self-centered suffering and misery. First we must discover God and discover God’s tears and become people who shed tears to alleviate the suffering of God.

I want you to know that those people in history known as saints and holy men were people who learned about the tears of God. By centering upon the grief and sorrow of God they have been looking at mankind from God’s point of view and shedding the same kind of tears that God shed. That is a religious way of life and by shedding the same kind of tears that God shed you become a co-worker of God’s. What kind of religion stands as a co-worker on the side of God? The religion that not only teaches man to shed tears for humanity but to shed tears for God will undoubtedly receive God’s blessing and become the central religion of humanity. There is absolutely no question about it.

The chief question is for whom you weep. If a village realizes that a person is crying for the sake of the village then the entire village has to bow down to him. That act is noble because it is not for the person’s sake but for the sake of the village. If there is someone who sheds tears for the sake of the nation then the entire nation is benefited and the citizens should bow down and respect that person.

The son of filial piety is one who shed tears not for himself, but for the sake of his parents. Without exception the loyal subject is the one who sheds tears for his own king and queen. Patriots are those who shed tears for the sake of their own country and countrymen. A saint or holy man is a different kind of person altogether. The patriot is concerned for the nation but a saint directs all his energy and tears for the sake of God and all of humanity. Under that condition alone can we say that a person has lived a saintly life.

Looking at the great saints in history, is there one who truly shed tears in order to bring God and humanity together, even at the moment of his death? Certainly we find one in the person of Jesus Christ. At the moment of his own death on the cross he was worrying about his own adversaries, the Roman soldiers who pierced him with their spears. He shed his tears and sweat for the sake of his own enemies. Because Jesus cried for his worst adversary he was actually crying for the sake of all types of people. By shedding his tears for the sake of his worst enemy Jesus not only won the hearts of all good men, but will also win the respect of the worst kind of sinful man in history.

Jesus considered his own well-being last of all, praying at the end that God accept his soul, for he had done his very best. Jesus directed his whole life toward shouldering all of God’s suffering here on earth and as his life ended on the cross he could say that he had done it. You can see how different were the selfish tears of Adam and Eve and the unselfish tears Jesus shed. Both were falling down to their deaths as they shed tears, Adam and Eve being the victims of their sin, and Jesus being crucified on the cross. As they approached their spiritual death Adam and Eve shed tears for themselves but Jesus shed tears for the sake of humanity and for God and for his own enemies.

The Task of Finding the Governing Lord, God

All the things God created in six days have been in a state of sorrow and difficulty until now, for they have not been able to serve the governing Lord, God. This remains before us as the fate we must resolve in the course of restoration. Accordingly, if we want to be elevated as the sacrifice that can pledge before Heaven and bring the victory, then we must bring the restoration of the dominion that God desires to a conclusion. Without doing that, we can never stand on firm footing as the victorious sacrifice. The reason that such a course lies before human beings is that after the fall, a world unfolded that nobody wants, a world Satan that dominates.

God, who had created all things to obtain joy through Adam and Eve, lost everything He had created because of their fall. He lost Adam and Eve and the Creation. What is more, to everyone’s surprise, Satan has taken over the position of God, the Creator, and has been dominating all things. This is the grief of God and the grief of the conscientious people and saints who have longed to take after the heart of God during restoration history until now.

If you bring created beings in front of you and ask what their wishes are, what answer would they give? Every one of them will answer, “Finding the governing Lord, God.” Although God understands well that this is what all things seek, He cannot directly govern over them even if He wants to. You must understand that this is the lamentation of God.

What is the wish of men, who are part of the creation that God lost? It is to be governed directly by God, who used to govern according to the wishes and longings of every created being.

Today the mission lies before us to fulfill this; we are given the royal summons to carry it out. Therefore, we must restore God’s dominion and at the same time restore the dominion of being the master of all things. Moreover, we must return the glory of gratitude for the grace that God reigns over. Today this kind of responsibility lies not with the creation, not with the soldiers and angels in heaven, but in us, we who amount to nothing.

Accordingly, if we fail in our responsibilities once, then we will lose dominion over the whole of Heaven. If we lose the original Heaven, then we will lose the whole hope of all things. Therefore, if we cannot fulfill the responsibility in our life that decides the historical fate, then we cannot stand before God, and we cannot emerge as the master of all things.

You are the center of the whole world of creation. You were endowed with creativity and were created to be the center of the internal world. The course you must walk is not to remain constrained within you.

If you live a life for the sake of the universe but only think about yourself, then God’s ability to dominate and create will be undermined. You must understand that then the hope the creation has in you, that you may govern over it, will also be shattered.

Consequently, you must bring out the full value, which represents the position of Heaven’s dominion over all of the creation. By doing so, you should be able to utter with your own mouth, “God, I have fulfilled all the purposes that You intended for me when you raised me up as the one You have sought, the original lord of dominion who represents the whole. God, please give me the command.” This is the person God has longed for during the 6,000 years of the dispensation. Accordingly, the mission we share in common is to fight through the tribulations of God’s 6,000 years and restore humankind by defeating the enemy, Satan.

As the representative of the whole, we must find the authority to govern. What specific things should we look for today?

Due to the Fall, humankind lost God, who governs over the whole. We have lost God who governs over and is the root of the whole. Accordingly, today we must find the God who has created all things. In this way, you must obtain possession over all the things God has dominion over.

The Heart of God, Who Was Calling for Fallen Adam

We can understand the origins of humanity’s grief through the verses in the Bible. We can also learn within the Bible that the first human ancestors were chased away from the bosom of God.

God created all things based on the ideal of creation. After that, He created Adam and Eve as the central beings of the universe who could attend God and rejoice with all things. Yet because of their fall, God’s purpose of creation remains unfinished. God has regretted creating humankind. This is the sorrow of God and the lament of all things.

The happiness and hope of humankind, who should have enjoyed their life centering on the ideology of eternal goodness, was cut off at this point. God and humankind should have enjoyed eternal joy and peace centering on the eternal ideology. Yet the hope of the Creator and of all things has been fundamentally destroyed. We must realize deep inside that this is where the sorrow of God and of humankind can be found.

When God created all things, He poured out all His heart and soul. You know very well through the Divine Principle that He poured out all His energy, especially when He was creating Adam and Eve. Through exhausting toil, God created them as the temple where He could dwell.

When God created all things, it was for the sake of letting them live with humankind for eternity. It was done so that God could be happy when people were happy. God established this purpose of creation. Because of the Fall of Adam, God could not experience even a moment of this joy. You must keep in mind that this is the reason God is trying to re-create this time again.

You must fathom the painful heart of God who called out to Adam, “Adam, Adam,” after Adam and Eve fell. God was in the position to abandon Adam and Eve, who had abandoned Him, the Creator, but God looked for Adam, calling out, “Adam, Adam!” We must realize that God was not just calling for the two people, Adam and Eve. It was a historical calling.

Until today, people on earth have been ignorant of the internal heart of God who called out to Adam after the Creation. The voice that called out to Adam, at that time, became the words of sorrow that represent the 6,000-year history of grief today. We have to understand that God called Adam with the sorrowful heart that represented all the grief inside the fallen realm after the creation of the world. Although 6,000 years of long history have passed since Adam, we have to know that God is connecting the events of that time to the present era and is calling out to us, the second Adam and Eve, in the same manner.

The people of faith who have served the will of the dispensation after the fall have mourned for the earth that cannot hear the voice of God calling for Adam and Eve. They grieved on God’s behalf because they could feel this heart.

We must realize the distressed heart of God, who was calling for Adam and Eve after the fall. This was the heart of the Father who felt indescribably heartbroken when He saw that Adam had entered the forbidden place and fallen. When we grab onto that heart and mourn with the same heart, God can continue again in His dispensation of restoration toward people on the earth. You must never forget that God has been calling out to you by setting up countless prophets and saints throughout the course of history until now.

The voice calling out to fallen Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden is still heard today. After the fall, for 1,600 long years of history, God called for Adam with the same ardent heart. Clinging to the one person, Noah, who could remain loyal to Heaven, He was finally able to call out, “Noah! Noah!” You must learn to listen to this historical voice.

Submit to God’s re-creation

As I Can See

The created beings waited for God to make them. They had no idea what they were going to be. When it is about to be created, a being does not have a preference for its type of existence. It is just obedient to whatever its creator will make of it. Likewise, you should not have any concept of what you will be. The potter molds the clay in whatever way he thinks best. You should have the expectant attitude of the clay. The one who is subject always invests a lot of sweat and work into his creation; nothing is produced automatically. The minus must be absolutely open to the plus; if the minus position holds on to its own ideas, it negates much of the plus position’s ideas. I cannot submit my work to the criticism of Harvard University graduates or other so-called educated persons. Like a nursing baby…

God Can Smile – God’s wisdom

As I Can See

Adam was having a conversation with God, and Adam asked God, “God, why did you make the woman so beautiful?”

God answered, “Well, so that you would love her.”

Adam asked God again, “God, why did you make woman so irrational?”

God replied, “So that she would love a fool like you.”

Heart and Heaven

As I Can See

What kind of place is Heaven? It is where we can take pride in what we prepared during our life on earth, and in our life of attendance. Then what kind of people enters heaven? Is heaven a place for those who simply believe in the Lord and expect to receive blessings or who act only for the sake of receiving blessing? No. Heaven is the destination for those who live preparing their hearts to attend God, as well as those who can leave behind a life of attendance and joyfully move on, even if they were to die while preparing. There is resurrection there. The details of life do not appear there. How we should live from now on is the important question we should reflect upon in our life of attendance.

Heaven is a place we cannot enter without a connection of heart. It is the original nation…

The wrong direction of history

As I Can See

Adam and Eve fell in the Garden of Eden. They were not at that time in a position to have a clear understanding of the will of God. They entered into a state of confusion and made the wrong choice. They were confronted with either obedience to God, which would have brought about the good world, or obedience to Satan, which did in fact bring about their fall. Between two clear choices, Adam and Eve made the wrong one. They brought evil into the world. God’s original intention was to create His ideal world – a good and prosperous world He determined to last for eternity. But man fell, the good world of God ended abruptly, and human history started in the wrong direction.

The history of mankind is therefore a history of evil. God sowed good seed, and He intended to harvest a good crop. But Satan stole His…

God’s servants and prophets

As I Can See

Then how can we know when the end is approaching? God will not hide this moment from man; He does not suddenly bring judgment on the world without warning. God will announce the coming of the great and terrible day through his prophets. Amos 3:7 says,

‘Surely the Lord God does nothing, without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.’

God chooses His instrument and through him God announces His plans. This has been the case throughout Bible history.

The person to be chosen as God’s prophet must be one of the people living in our evil world. But he must be a man of faith who can demonstrate that he is worthy to be used by God. He must show absolute faith. To do this he must give up all worldly success and completely separate himself from this evil world. He must purify himself by cutting off all…

How God looks at the world

As I Can See

It is important to know on which side God will be and how God fulfills His plan. It is not important whether a man or his views are considered heretical or not. It does not matter how I look at the world or how you look at the world. It only matters how God looks at the world. And in God’s view, we once again find in the Bible a dual prophecy concerning the coming of the Lord of the Second Advent. Revelation 1:7 definitely prophesies the arrival of the Lord of the Second Advent with the clouds. However, I Thess. 5:2 states:

‘For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night.’

There are then two opposing prophecies. What shall we do? Would you simply choose the prophecy which is most convenient for you?

Perhaps the Lord will appear with…
