The Root of Goodness, the Root of Love and the Root of Life

If you come to realize why Jesus, who came to be harvested as the fruitful entity of goodness, wishes to come again and demands a practical faith of human beings on this earth, you then have to move forward. You must fight with the resolution to advance through this path to the end, even in the face of any ordeals, sufferings and courses of struggle. Furthermore, you must not lead a life where you are self-centred and looking after your own interests.

Because each human being has lived a life that does good only for him or herself, and has carried out social activities in the same way, God feels sad. We of today should not live like that.

Although you may live somewhat self-centred for a day-to-day short life span, in the duration of your lifetime, you must set up a certain standard that you will consider as your centre. In other words, if there is a man who has everything working out well, centred on himself, throughout his day-to-day life, he cannot live with confidence like that for the duration of a lifetime or else he cannot be offered to God as a harvest of goodness. Therefore, unless you wait eagerly for that one day when you can make a father-son relationship with Jesus throughout your lifetime and build a foundation such that you can bear trials to seek that one centre, and endure any kind of hardship, you cannot reap the harvest of goodness for which you have hoped and for which Jesus Christ has wished on this Earth.

You cannot establish the standard of goodness only by your life course. Although it seems that there are words of goodness and men of goodness in this world, the person who can be the fountain-head and father of goodness has not yet appeared. Human beings are all speaking of love, goodness and life, but they all speak of their own lifetime. Until one substantial entity that can be the root of goodness, the root of love, and the root of life comes into our depths by connecting with our minds, our bodies, and our whole lifetimes, we cannot become the substantial entity of goodness. We must reach the standard of being able to connect with that entity.

We should be aware that Jesus was the man who came as the Father of all things in the Universe. In other words, he was the Father of myriads of people and he became the root of all life in this world. Therefore, Jesus became the root of goodness to the human beings who could not find the root of true life on this Earth. What is more, Jesus came to introduce the standard that can be the root of goodness to realize God’s Will in the human world. He is the root where the providential history that God has idealized is being unfolded in an obscure way

Since Jesus had a spirit and a body, he must have had internal and spiritual things, along with external and physical matters. Therefore, he must have had internal life and external life. Jesus established the central coordinates of life through living a life where the internal and the external are combined. He kept going to accomplish the standard that he wished, walking the course of the substantial entity for the sake of the Will on this Earth.

Although Jesus led a life suitable for him to fulfil such a mission, he did not attain the goal completely. That is why he had to wait 2,000 years to come back again. If the goal had been completely attained, then the Holy Spirit, Jesus and God would have come to live with us.

What do you think we have to inherit today from God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit? Human beings on this Earth must inherit the ideal of substantial goodness that Jesus wished and upheld. They must then set up the concept of goodness, the religion of goodness, and the standard of goodness which can connect their minds and bodies and connect to God’s Shim Jung (heart). If you possess the root of Jesus’ good ideology, it will still put forth new shoots, no matter how many times it is cut off.

We men of faith must understand what the root of such goodness is, what the root of God’s Love is, and what is the root of God’s Life and His Will. The lives of human beings, who lost such a root cannot transcend the aspects of time and space. However, if today, from the position where we are restricted by time and space, we come to find the root of goodness that can live in the eternal relationship with goodness, we then can rise above the world of time and space.

A man of character keeps his promises

A man of character keeps his promises. If I say that you forced the promise I made upon me, and therefore I don’t have to keep it, then I am not a man of character. Law is a set of promises made on a public standard. Thus, all the people who live within its jurisdiction should keep it. If someone cannot keep it, then he should be punished by public regulation. This is the responsibility of the keepers of the law. No matter who initiated it, a promise must be kept. You will be a loser if you do not keep your promise. In making a promise, everyone has to come to an accord based on the common standard.

The nature of love

Only love can make two people become one body centring on True Love: father and son, husband and wife, and father and mother can make one body. When brothers unite centring on True Love, they become one body. Only True Love can make unity and oneness. This is not the love of receiving, but the love of giving.

The Preciousness of Women

Are women very precious or not? When you say yes, think about history. Did women play a special role in history, enabling men to fulfill their role to go in God’s direction? Have you ever thought that you as a woman should be doing that? ~I am helping my husband or fiancĂ©e so that he can help the progress of the dispensation. I will continue to do so in the future.” Did you think that way when you answered, “Yes, women are precious”?

Whom do you resemble? You women have two eyes; they resemble very much the eyes of your own mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, all the way up in your ancestry to God. God is also feminine. Your eyes represent your origins or ancestors, and all of womankind In the future, your eyes will continue to be represented in your offspring. Do you sometimes think, I will revolutionize my eyes”? Perhaps you do something to your eyes to make them look different, like using eye shadow. But actually that doesn’t revolutionize your eyes. It’s only temporary. Four or five hours later, the eye shadow washes off and you’re back to the same situation. Nevertheless, your eyes are very precious because they represent history, all women, and the future of mankind.

Whom do women take after? The mother of mothers. We cannot think about history and mankind without women. They simply would not continue. History would never have existed without women. Today is very precious, of course, but the past is also precious, and the future is even more precious.

Just imagine: which would be more of a crisis in the world – a huge war between the two superpowers, or something that causes a decline in the number of women on the earth, so they become fewer and fewer, to the point where there is only one woman left? Which is a greater crisis-world war, or women diminishing? Think about how horrible it would be if, while the women were diminishing, men continued to exist in the same numbers. Just imagine for a moment – a man’s world without women. There could be no bigger crisis imaginable than men without women. If only a few women were left, what will happen to the men? How precious women would become. There are plenty of women now, so men think, “Well, there is one for me, no matter what.” But what if there were only one woman? Even if a man had all the wealth and power of America and the world, could he trade it for that one woman? No, because her value is even greater than that.

Have you ever stopped to think that you are so precious and great that you could not even be exchanged for all of America? The same goes for women without men. Just imagine that no men exist-just women. What kind of a world would that be? Men, like women, represent history. They represent the past and they are existing today for the future.

God gave everything to man, man should give everything to woman

Since God gave everything to man, a man should want to give everything to a woman. Then the woman will want to give everything back to the man, and the man will want to give everything back to God. Things are created that way. When this give and take action takes place in a lively way, then the two will come into complete unity and never separate. That is the focal point of God’s love. When a man and woman are really in love and live in love, God is living there too. That is the most ideal place, the nucleus.

This is the secret of a subject/object relationship, the secret of being a spouse. Pour your love into your spouse; live for the sake of your spouse; do things for his sake, day after day. When he gets saturated, he may say, “Why are you doing all this? I don’t want this,” and he may even want to escape. But if you continue loving him, he will turn around and return your love. Love will grow. That is the Principle of Creation.

Perfection of Love

Men and women must individually walk that path toward perfection, then unite as couples and become the direct heirs of the lineage of God. By doing so, they will represent the perfection of the universe, as well as the fulfilment of the hope of mankind. United in true love, man and woman become one body, one spirit, one unit in the sight of God, and thus enter His direct dominion. Once that perfection of love is completed, no power under the sun can infiltrate or defile it. Not even the entire wealth of the world, including a huge chunk of solid diamond or gold, could buy such preciousness. It is priceless accomplishment.

Rebirth – Again

God has granted me the chance to be reborn – again.

This wasn’t the first time.

The miracle is still flowing through my cells. Minute by minute I can acknowledge the strength.

When you feel life is coming back to you and you have this sense of strange feeling of guilt that you haven’t earned it. And you feel it is kind of right.

I can type again. Probably, I can write again.

I could cook yesterday.

I could carry the bags from shop the day before yesterday.

I was able to breath a few days ago.

It is still strange, an unusual mystery, how easily it can be forgotten and looked obvious that even lifting an arm was a distant desire not known for sure ever to be fulfilled – and now it is normal.

How things can loose their meaningfulness so easily in our life?

Like they had no value at all for us.

Vanity is an ever-existing condition it seems.

Indeed, as there is progress, we deem to forget priorities which were reset in a way we felt were the truth.

Now, a race started again: which minuscules could tramp over and misguide my presence, derail my consciousness to plastic reality?

Can I be the king of the fake world? Can I be in that competition, with even greater strength? It feels like that, every single moment which I spend with muting my inner voice and reasoning myself: surfing, watching, listening, not-praying and self-treating are worthier ways.

I know, God hasn’t saved me for this. It looks, a rebirth doesn’t make me different from what I used to be, not in an instant, not without growth.

Though, healing is also a process.

Maybe I also should be more accepting with myself. I should let myself to heal inside, heal from the world, from the life I’ve lived.

Where We Truly Meet God

For instance, let us say a father is building a big house. Neither is this father rich nor has he abundant house construction materials. However, he completes the construction after going through all kinds of difficulties; now he has a house everyone envies. On this great day, the father would reflect on his past and think of the difficulties he experienced. The happiness the father feels on this day would be in proportion to the degree of difficulties he had faced; the greater the difficulties, the greater the happiness he feels. His children, however, did not help their father during those hard times; they did not understand their father and distanced themselves from him instead. Now let us say that these children join their father to celebrate this great day together. How would the father treat his children? Would he say, “You are the children I love, so please join me in this celebration today?” On the contrary, he would reminisce on his sorrowful past upon seeing his children. Even if the children were to regret not having helped their father, we already know that they would cause the father much pain and sadness on that great day.

In order to complete the purpose of the entire providence, God, just like this father, immensely suffered and went through infinite pain as he advanced the providence. Unfortunately, the numerous people in the position of children did not collaborate with God. As God overcame hills of difficulties, one after another, he hoped that mankind would work with him. God needed companions.

God cannot surmount those hills without companions. God cannot go beyond a hill representing an individual cross without the companionship of people. In the same way, he cannot go over hills representing a family, a people, a national or a global cross without a companion. God, who is carrying the responsibility of the global cross, cannot go over this hill without a sacrificial substantial being that invests maximum effort with the determination to fulfil his or her filial duty toward God. We must therefore know that God has been hoping for sons and daughters who can work with him because of such a course of restoration.

Someday the purpose of restoration will conclude and God’s will for the providence will be realized. When that happens, the day God can truly feel happy will come. How would God feel when he ushers in this day? Not only would he look pathetic from the numerous hardships he had to go through but he would also look wretched and miserable from the pain he received as he suffered by bearing millions and trillions of crosses. You must understand that God had to go through this process in order to welcome this day.

If you are to join him on this day, you must be able to feel God’s heart-rending sorrow as he underwent hardship all throughout history in order to usher in this one day, to liberate all human beings and to enable human beings to have happy lives, even if you did not directly collaborate with God’s work.

You must ready your hearts to weep and be contrite in front of God who has ushered in this day. You should feel angry and repent saying, why didn’t I get to know you? How was I unaware of your worried heart?

If you truly repent about your past lives, a condition for God to sympathize with you may materialize. In other words, you should not join God on this great day if you do not have such a heart. That explains the Bible verse Matthew 7:21, “Not everyone who says to me, `Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only lie who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”

We are heading forward in order to meet God. Everyone hopes to meet a God of joy; however, we should never forget that God had to go through all kinds of hardships and sorrow to appear as the God of joy.

What God did you attend as you followed the path toward the crucifixion? You should be able to do anything to share in God’s sorrow when he is sad, comfort him when he is lonely, lament over his misery, comfort him for the persecutions he suffered, and do everything to carry the cross along that path instead of God. If such sons and daughters exist, God will call them and set them up in front of the entire creation and the entire universe when this joyful day is ushered in. Instead of making this joyful day his, lie would want to make it into his children’s. We must be able to understand that this expresses God’s heart.

God has been looking for such sons and daughters for this reason and has been hoping for siblings, families, nations the world and the cosmos to fill with such children. As people who understand this and stand on the front-line of restoration work, we must know the immensity of the responsibility we carry. To become children that attend such a God, humanity must desire to attend God and we must treat all human beings as brothers and sisters. Become models in attending God and set up at least a condition by which humanity can comfort God and have the desire to dissolve God’s sadness. A person with those qualities is God’s son or God’s daughter.

A Spiritual Awakening

What our world needs today to save itself is a spectacular spiritual awakening. The world must be awakened to the reality of God and re-armed with a worldview based on God-affirming principles. This worldview is capable of eliminating the confusion in our value system. Of course, this spiritual reality will manifest itself in political and economic strength and military resolve, but the internal dynamic must be the spiritual foundation of faith in God and true love among human beings.

Based upon such an awakening into higher values, the nature of relationships between nations must be transformed. Until now, the driving force behind economic development has often been the desire for profits. In this way, a great amount of human potential has been unleashed, and remarkable world development has occurred. The time has come, however, for the developed nations to move beyond the profit motive. The principle of unselfish love must be applied on the level of international relationships. The developed nations of the world should feel that they have been blessed by God for the purpose of helping others. They must be willing to sacrifice for the underdeveloped nations of the world. They must give of themselves to free other human beings from misery. If the prosperous nations adopt this attitude, do you think they will be diminished? Do you think they will experience disastrous decline? Not at all. The opposite is true. If these nations do not think in loftier terms than the desire for profits, their prosperity will slip away in spite of their efforts to retain it.

How can anyone be at peace with himself when his fellowman is dying from lack of food, or ravaged by disease, or victimized by the darkness of ignorance? United together, the developed nations can launch a tremendous crusade to overcome the three scourges of humanity: hunger, disease, and ignorance.
